Wish

I woke up on New Year’s Eve with this message from Vlad:

What if…

instead of
it being
the last day
of the year,
it were
the last day
of our life.

How would we choose to live it?

Suck the marrow out of life
but don’t choke on the bone. ΓΌ

I immediately stood up and shouted, “No!” Heaven forbid that I’d be alone in a strange land when my last day on this world comes. Good grief, 24 hours is not enough for me to go home! I would like to be surrounded by the ones I value most, when the time comes.

So how do I visualize sucking the marrow out of life? I’d spend it with my family and friends back home. Nothing fancy, as long as we’re together. I’d be perfectly happy with that.
